Description
People have always said I talk too much. My wife’s advice when I’m interviewing someone is to let them do the talking, rather than me talking all the time.
So a book has been in the background for many years. I’d always said “I’ll do a book one day”, and now I have.
I wrote it with John Woodhouse, the award-winning writer behind books with Bradley Wiggins, Phil Tufnell, John Hartson, Steve Thompson and Neil “Razor” Ruddock.
Writing it was more emotional than I expected. There are gaps in my life with my grandparents and parents, and the book brought those even more to the surface.
I cherish the moments going to the pub with my father, but I still can’t join all the dots up.
When my kids and grandkids are older, this book will let them join those dots, and give them something to refer back to.
There’s family and sport in there, lots Houghton Hams stories, and some funny moments too. It’s a lovely hardback book and I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I’ve enjoyed living it.
Let’s Just Do It!
